Summary
When the Man of Steel was on a nonstop crusade to save the world, a team of dedicated young heroes rose to help protect the streets of Metropolis: the Supermen of America. Now the super-powered heroes take center stage in SUPERMEN OF AMERICA: a 6-issue miniseries that picks up where their action-packed one-shot left off. Written by Fabian Nicieza (JUSTICE LEAGUE: A MIDSUMMER'S NIGHTMARE, X- Men) with art by Doug Braithwaite and Robin Riggs (SUPERGIRL, Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty), SUPERMEN OF AMERICA #1 reintroduces the group's Elite Brigade, Outburst, White Lotus, Brahma, Loser, and Pyrogen. Their skills sharpened by intensive training, the teenaged Supermen think they're ready for anything. But they're about to face challenges greater than anything they've encountered so far: first, learning to deal with an abrasive, tough-as-nails new member named Maximum; and second, confronting a problem that starts small in the alleys of Metropolis's Suicide Slum, but rapidly grows to proportions that may be more than they can handle!
