Summary
In July of 1999, Dark Horse began to publish creator-owned material under the Maverick imprint. In order to celebrate their first year, seven highly creative artist/writers were asked to submit whatever they wanted for this superb anthology collection.
“Mercy” by Frank Miller is a tender story of compassion and justice. Paul Chadwick gives us a new Concrete story with “Family Night.” “Ancient Joe” has a way with women in C. Scott Moore’s brief story of remembrance. Stan Sakai treats us to a charming two-page travelogue of his trip to “Norway!” “It’s About Time!” is a beautiful Body Bags tale by Jason Pearson while Brian Ralph gives us a look at what happens when you “Dig Deep.” Dylan Horrocks finishes up the book with a haunting story of “Western Wind.”
